The Pegasus (Chunma) is a mythical creature that appears in the legends of Korea. It is described as a divine creature that brings miracles and Koreans are all very familiar with the Pegasus.
The Pegasus has two shiny wings on its back that enables it to freely fly in the skies above. As it is said that the Pegasus brings good luck and fortune to those who see it, many have dreamed of meeting this creature.
The circle around the Pegasus symbolizes the give and take action that occurs between a person’s mind and body, heaven and earth, the universe and human beings. Through this give and take action, the entire universe including human beings and creation can develop and prosper amidst everlasting harmony and balance.
Harmony and balance symbolizes the ideals of the Tongil Group. The Pegasus is free to fly within the heaven and earth; it is a spiritual creature that is free and which has a righteous disposition. This represents Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma Football Clubs outstanding mobility and fighting spirit
